The procedure takes between 1.5 – 3 hours depending on how many body areas are being treated. Local anesthesia is used to numb the skin and fatty tissues. A thin bodytite device is used underneath the skin. Then radio frequency energy is used in a controlled manner to heat both the skin surface and the deeper tissues. This causes skin tightening, collagen production and fat removal over time. Once the energy delivery portion of the procedure is completed, liposuction is performed using small cannulas to remove excess fat. Once the procedure is complete, a compression garment is placed on the treatment area which should remain in place for three days. Post procedure garments should be worn for 2-4 weeks at least 12 hours/day.
Body areas that can be treated include the arms, bra bulge, upper and lower abdomen, flanks, hips, inner and outer thighs, knees , and buttocks “banana” roll. Facetite technology can also be used for the face, jowls, and submentum (chin).
